HAMMOND, IN—The United States Attorney’sOffice announced that the following indictment was returned on June 6, 2012 andunsealed on June 11, 2012:
Francisco Rodriguez, 41, of Chicago,Illinois, was charged in an indictment with two counts of wire fraud. Thesecharges were filed as the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau ofInvestigation and the Indiana State Police. This case has been assigned to andwill be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Gary Bell.
The United States Attorney’s Officeemphasized that an indictment is merely an allegation and that all personscharged are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.
If convicted in court, any specificsentence to be imposed will be determined by the judge after a consideration offederal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
