A group of people were standing around a car and talking to the driver in front of a Phoenix house when another vehicle pulled up and an occupant opened fire.
Two men were wounded by gunfire in a drive-by shooting in Phoenix early Friday morning.
Lt. Matt Giordano of the Phoenix Police Department said a group of people were standing around a car and talking to the driver in front of a house near 21st Street and Broadway Road when another vehicle pulled up and an occupant opened fire about 3 a.m.
One person standing near the car was wounded and the man in the car was hit several times before the suspect vehicle drove away, according to Giordano.
The wounded man in the car was taken to a hospital in serious condition for treatment of multiple gunshot wounds and the other wounded man was driven to the same hospital by a neighbor.
Giordano said witnesses could provide only limited information, and that police were looking for a person driving a black car.
No other information was immediately available.
